On October 10, drummers and dancers gathered in Ottawa’s Confederation Park for the Zero-Carbon Jam, one of over 7000 planet-friendly events that took place during the global day of climate action.
A fun jam on Sunday, thanks to Raun, Linda, Jeremy, Lori, Faris, Lee, Lainie, Manuel and many other friends who joined us in the park.
If you missed the jam on Sunday, you can still listen to the Earth*tones beat. Manuel recorded the rhythms with a camera, and here’s a short music clip after some file conversion and editing. Click on the button below to listen.
Check out the great photos from the jam on 10/10/10. For info about upcoming Earth*tones jams, visit us online at www.earth-tones.ca. Join the Earth*tones Facebook page for updates.
After the global day of action on climate change, it’s time for our elected (and unelected) representatives to get to work. A climate bill is stalled in the Senate. Please take a moment to contact Senators to urge them to pass Bill C-311. We need Canada to commit to taking action to stop global warming. For inspiration for your letters, you can read this open letter to Senators.
