Earth*tones Drum and Dance Circle / Groupe de danse et percussions
Zero-Carbon Jam, 10/10/10
Sunday, October 10, 2010
2:30 – 4:30 pm
Confederation Park, Ottawa Map »
On 10/10/10, join us for a zero-carbon jam. Switch off your iPod, your iMac and your CD player – and any other music-making gadget powered by electricity from dirty coal and nuclear energy.
We’re going off the grid. Turn on your imagination. We’ll be making our own music, jamming with drums, shakers, flutes and other acoustic instruments. Don’t have a musical instrument? Bring your bike bells, pots and dancing shoes.
Please help spread the word, join this Facebook event and invite your friends:

Earth*tones is a community percussion group based in Ottawa, jamming with the djembés since 1999. During the spring, summer and fall, we jam in Confederation Park. We’ll be going indoors soon, starting October 24. Contact Mike Buckthought at helios -at- ncf.ca for info about our Sunday night jams.
